In 1990, the then blues club Bourbon Street answered the great demand for live music in Amsterdam. It would not be long before Amsterdammers, tourists, students and musicians invariably found their way to the Leidsekruisstraat. For a number of years now, Bourbon Street has broadened its musical horizons and today it is the place to enjoy live music from almost every genre.
Our programming consists of rock, soul, funk, reggae, folk, blues and everything in between. Every night of the week there are touring international artists, top-notch cover bands, or up-and-coming local acts on our cozy stage. On Monday you can come to us for our famous open jam session, where musicians from home and abroad join house band Mosquito to create new music together. 'Magic Monday' is free to visit, just like our shows on Sunday nights. Then Bourbon Street is the living room for lovers of soul, funk and quality pop. On the other days we offer a very diverse program. The entrance fee on Tuesday to Saturday is € 5.00 p.p.
Over the years we have received many great artists. From dutch heroes such as Herman Brood and Hans Dulfer, to world stars such as Sting, ZZ Top, Joss Stone, Tower Of Power, Toto and B.B. King. It should no longer be a secret that Amsterdam is a musical city of international allure. The many talented musicians in our capital make Bourbon Street a musical melting pot, unique in Amsterdam.
Bands of a high level, customer-friendly staff and traditional Amsterdam, casual conviviality. Unsurprisingly, Bourbon Street has been welcoming a highly mixed audience of all ages for years. Because good music is for everyone. Walk in and experience it for yourself News about the programming can be found on our website
